It is produced from solid beads of polystyrene. Expansion is achieved by virtue of small amounts of gas contained within the polystyrene bead. The gas expands when heat in the form of steam is applied, thus forming closed cells of EPS. EPS has many uses including Insulation, protecting small electrical components, large items like fridge-freezers, and has many applications protecting food to avoid damage during various stages of production and shipment. It is used in the fish industry for the packaging of chilled products and in the agricultural sector for seed trays and the packing of fruit and vegetables. In PPP, we are supplying EPS Flame Retardant & General grades with non-HBCD and with following characteristics: Grade Name Bead size Pre-expansion Density (Kgf/cm2) Foam Multiple Foam Density (g/L) F50 1.6 - 1.9 11 60-75 10-20 F100 1.3 – 1.6 13 47-65 14-22 F150 0.9 – 1.3 14 42-60 16-30 F250 0.7 – 0.9 15 35-55 20-35 F350 0.47 – 0.7 16 28-50 22-40 F450 0.3 – 0.47 17 24-45 23-42 Please email us for further information and products data sheets.
